Vacation Won't Cure Burnout

I’ve got a confession to make.


Vacations have never felt like a recharge, and I’ve always felt a bit guilty because of it.


Instead of taking trips hoping to recharge, I am better all around when I incorporate daily and weekly recharges to stay fresh and clear minded. Rooting in routine, I recharge with meditation, enjoying a book, or getting in a workout. All of which I can do from anywhere, including home.


I realize I am perhaps the anomaly in my lack of enjoyment in vacations.


​This makes it even more important that my teammates feel like they can take what they need.
