Overcoming Anxiety

When I am fearful, I question why. Almost always, my fears come from an unknown rather than something worth fretting over (is anything truly worth fretting over?).

If I beat myself up for having a fearful thought then I will have, in essence, trained my brain to ignore that I am fearful. And if I ignore that I am fearful, I'm never able to move past.

Fear is merely a figment of our imagination. But we can't change the fact we are human - the unknown can be nerve-racking at times. We must allow ourselves to feel fear so we are able to recognize the fear isn't real, but rather it is created in our minds.

Only then are we able to overcome.
