This past week was interesting.
While several clients put needs on hold as we gain clarity on the economic impact of COVID-19, just as many are forging forward with project initiatives.
What did forge forward was critical for my clients to get right. The stakes felt higher than normal, even though I operate under the thought process that the stakes are always high with each and every ask from clients.
Though I’m still adjusting to the demands of family and client service from home, business isn’t stopping. In fact, several of our well-positioned clients expect this period to fuel future growth, gobbling up market share.
It is a critical time for all businesses, so it is an opportune time to work through difficult conversations with empathy and fairness with internal employees, clients and vendors.
Those best suited to weather the coming weeks will be those focused on making the absolute max out of the opportunities on their plate.
