Many of my larger clients have paid boat loads of money for various tools to automate the hiring process, with mixed results at best.
Though these tools can be a viable way to bring in highly active or junior experienced candidates on a volume basis, it is the passive candidate pool that can't be accessed by robots.
It is difficult to get more experienced candidates engaged without them fully understanding the ins and the outs of the situation prior to engaging directly with an organization.
Yes, I'm biased, but I don't think we are going away anytime soon.
